The International Observatory for Peace, Democracy, and Human Rights in Geneva (IOPDHR-GENEVA-NGO)had the honor of participating on Saturday, November 9, 2024, in the conference-debate organized by the collective of Moroccan community associations in Montpellier, in partnership with the Moroccan Center for Diplomacy and Civilizational Dialogue.
Theme of the Conference
“A New Dynamic in Franco-Moroccan Relations in Light of France’s Decision on the Moroccanity of the Sahara”
This event coincided with the commemoration of the 49th anniversary of the Green March, providing a platform for meaningful discussions on the evolving diplomatic relations between France and Morocco and their implications for the Sahara region.


IOPDHR’s Contribution
Represented by its President, Mrs. Aicha DUIHI, the IOPDHR enriched the discussions with a detailed analysis of the historical and diplomatic significance of recognizing Morocco’s sovereignty over the Sahara. The intervention also highlighted the strategic dimensions of Franco-Moroccan cooperation, emphasizing its crucial role in strengthening bilateral relations and fostering a constructive dialogue.
